Alex has been offered a post-doctoral fellow appointment at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in the United States of America. He will be working with Associate Professor Jennifer Mankoff and Associate Professor Jeffrey P. Bigham.

Alex begins his new appointment at the School of Computer Engineering in Nanyang Technological University. His appointment will see Alex taking on a heavier teaching load while balancing his research. Alex intends to expand his research exposure in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and developing his experience dealing with elderly challenges.

I would like to wish all of you a Happy New Year. 2013 has been an eventful year for me, rushing to complete my PhD and looking for a job after that has taken a toll on me. I am glad that these are all behind me now. 2014 is where I start my new job as a Research Fellow in Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. A shift in geographical location means a lot of added changes are also expected. I hope all of you will have a fantastic year ahead and do stay tune for news about my research and me. I have submitted my PhD thesis on the 28th of November 2012. Currently I am waiting for the date of my viva voce and I'm expected to graduate in Spring 2013. I have begun my job applications, thus, Im looking for a job! I will make my thesis available for download after the exam board approves it. This will be somewhere between late Spring 2013 and early Summer 2013.
